UKEDC Ball and Awards 2024
We, the United Kingdom Equality Dance Council, would like you to join us in celebrating our equality dance community in the UK at the UKEDC Ball and Awards 2024!
We know our community loves dancing at the Rivoli Ballroom, so why change a venue that you love? This glamorous original 1950's style Ballroom was the London home of equality social dancing for over two decades. After bringing the community back here last year, we all enjoyed it so much, and we are excited to be back at this iconic venue for an evening of dancing! And this year, we have two great DJs to take you through the evening.

This year we are absolutely delighted to be partnering with the 20th Anniversary Special of the Equality Fun Competition which will take place at the Rivoli Ballroom during the day on 5 October 2024. So in additon to selling tickets for the ball, we are also offering combination tickets for the competition and the ball.* This means you can enjoy a whole afternoon and evening of fabulous dancing - while saving some money compared to buying tickets separately. The Equality Fun Competition is an informal and fun practice competition for starter, beginner and improver same-sex and equality dancers – everyone is welcome. Great value ticket options
We are offering a number of great value ticket options - and even better: ticket prices are lower than last year!
Our early bird offer is back until 31 August 2024, offering lower prices for those who book early.
This year, we are including the Evenbrite booking fee in the ticket price, making tickets cheaper overall for you!
Members' ticket prices are now available to UKEDC members and ESSDA members, so we hope to welcome some more of our dancing friends from across Europe this year! If you are not yet a UKEDC member, why not join? It's only £15 to join and you can get some great discounts at other dance competitions and with dance shoe and dance wear suppliers.
We are offering UKEDC Ball only tickets as well as combination tickets for the Equality Fun Competition and the UKEDC Ball together. If you buy a combination ticket, you pay less when compared to buying separate tickets.

20th Anniversary Equality Fun Competition
he 20th Anniversary Special of the Fun Competition will take place at the Rivoli Ballroom on Saturday 5th October 2024.
The Equality Fun Competition is an informal and fun practice competition for starter, beginner and improver same-sex and equality dancers – everyone is welcome. This year we have a very special addition of solo dances for those who want/currently learn to dance without a partner.
There will be no B or A class in the graded Ballroom and Latin competitions. Couples are kindly requested not to enter in a competition in which they have previously competed in B class or higher (classification in senior categories excluded), however you may enter another competition in which you have not previously competed in the higher classes (ie if you ordinarily dance in B Ballroom you may enter the Latin competition if you have not competed in B or A class). All dancers are welcome to enter all other fun dance categories (no classes).
