Michael Litke, a fully ISTD-qualified professional Ballroom and Latin instructor, brings his passion and extensive experience to the dance floor. He has become European Same-Sex Latin Champion in Berlin in 2017 and World Same-Sex Ballroom Vice Champion in Paris in 2018. 
 
With a dedication to excellence, Michael offers a wide range of courses and lessons for dancers of all levels from beginner courses to advanced training at conveniently located dance studio at Piccadilly Circus in central London. 

 
In addition to group courses, Michael provides private one-to-one lessons, allowing for focused attention and rapid progress.

Bristol Equality Dance

Bristol Equality Dance offers latin, ballroom, salsa and line dancing for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their friends in the South West of England and Wales. The project is led by Norma Daykin, who holds associate teaching qualifications with the ISTD and the UKA, and is a Professor of Arts and Wellbeing and also a musician who draws on her unique combination of skills to offer fun and inclusive classes and social events, often featuring live music. Norma danced as a child, working her way through medal tests, but felt discouraged as an adult and only returned once she discovered the international Equality dance scene, enjoying the opportunities it affords to dance, compete and make friends with dancers from many countries.

Cactus Club

Started in 1993, The Cactus Club was set up to introduce line dancing to the London LGBT scene. Since then, even with many changes in venue and taste, we are still going strong. We teach line dancing and gender neutral ‘western’ couple dancing to whoever wants to learn at The Two Brewers in Clapham. For those who enjoy ballroom – we hold gender-neutral tea dances every few months at The Grafton Dance centre in Dulwich.

Charles Richman Dance Studios

Charles has been teaching for over 25 years now and is a Fellow and Examiner of the ISTD and also a Fellow of the IDTA. He is an ISTD Latin American Faculty committee member and a senior Dancesport teacher at Anthony Clifford Studios in Romford, Essex. He offers classes and private lessons for all levels from beginner to professional. Recently he has launched a brand new Equality Social, at Anthony Clifford Studios, on the last Saturday of each month and is hoping to offer classes in the near future. Over the years he has enjoyed being part of the Equality dance community and is delighted to be a new affiliate member of the UKEDC.

Cheek2Cheek Brighton

Cheek2Cheek, a not-for-profit Ballroom and Latin Dance Group, has been running since 1998 in and around Brighton.  Currently based at Court Farm Studios, Falmer, we aim to provide a relaxed and friendly environment for people from the LGBTQ+ community to socialise and learn to dance.   We run two one-hour classes every Tuesday for Beginners (7,00pm), Improvers (8.00pm).  Within each class we cover one ballroom and one Latin dance and cycle the dances every three weeks.  We have been part of Brighton Lesbian and Gay Sports’ Society (BLAGSS) for around 5 years.  If you have been a spectator at Brighton PRIDE, you will have seen us dancing the entire Parade Route!  

Equality Dance

Equality Dance started as a ballroom and latin dance school based in South East London, founded in November 2017 by principal teacher, Pete Meager. The aim of the dance school is to teach people the role of their choice – come and learn to lead or follow in both dances, irrelevant of gender. Our classes offer a warm and welcoming approach to teaching, and specifically encourages those who have never danced before to try it for the first time.

Equality Dance also organises two annual events, The Equality Fun Competition and the UK Equality Open. Both competitions encourage new and existing couples to join together on a fully inclusive dance floor.

Equality Dance is also a Professional member of both the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and of the British DanceSport Association (BDSA).

Hill Dance Academy

He has a wealth of experience training all levels of dancer, from complete beginner to those training for their own professional qualifications. So whether you are wanting to learn just the basics for social dancing or develop your dancing to a competitive or professional level, you will be in safe hands with a friendly and warm environment.

Foxtrot Oscar

Foxtrot Oscar is a Ballroom and Latin American Dance studio, which aims to deconstruct the gender stereotypes that partner-style dancing is based on. We aim to provide a safe and inclusive space for practising partner dancing, and an environment conducive to making new friends, particularly among young professionals in the capital who are often lacking such a community.

With us, you will learn a range of dance styles, from Tango to Cha Cha Cha, and Samba to Waltz. Solo dancer friendly and you can learn to Lead, Follow or both if you fancy!

Our focus is on social events, community-building and shows, and the studio will not participate in competitive Ballroom circuits. We run weekly classes and occasional social events/workshops. Everyone is welcome and classes are open to all – hope to see you there!

Impetus Dance believes everyone should have the opportunity to express themselves through dance with no boundaries to age, ability or how we relate to ourselves. We are affiliated to Disability Sports Wales as a Silver In-Sport Accredited club & Para Dance UK. Our dance instructor and team coach, Louise is an IDTA Associate Ballroom Teacher, Para Dance wheelchair level 2 & DDS trained instructor and an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.

We run weekly dance classes, workshops, deliver dance projects and Coach the Welsh Para Dance & Inclusive Dance Sport Teams. Although we are predominantly based in Bridgend we do also run occasional projects throughout South Wales. 

London Dance Studio

Louise Sampson

 Principal at Rhythm & Dance, Dorset. In addition to teaching as a Fellow ISTD, Louise holds a BDC Adjudicators Licence for both Competitions and Championships.  She regularly adjudicates for mainstream and Equality competitions both home and abroad.  A highlight has been adjudicating at the 10th Gay Games – Paris 2018. She is also a Level 2 Para Dance Sport Instructor and adjudicates in Para Dance Sport Competitions.

Mariusz Rafal Stankiewicz is a Ballroom and Latin dance coach, a Fellow of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and an international adjudicator. Mariusz has been involved in dance for 37 years, 27 of which he has spent coaching dancers at a range of levels. He is a World Vice-Champion in Men’s Standard Ballroom – at the Gay Games in Paris, and is also a Pink Jukebox Trophy champion in London.

Based in London, Mariusz offers private lessons and specialist coaching, as well as Equality Ballroom classes in Archway, North London. His classes provide an inclusive yet technically focused environment in which dancers can develop both individually and within a partnership.
