This is my 3rd Newsletter as your Acting Chair.
A reminder the AGM takes place on Sunday 27 February, at 10:30 am
Members will have received all the relevant information about the meeting via email.
Upcoming competitions and events
We are sorry to hear that the Pink Jukebox Trophy has been postponed, though delighted that a new date of the 25 June has been set. We encourage all competitors to register for the new date and UKEDC members receive a discount on the registration fee.
In the meantime, the Home Counties Open Championships on 20 March also has same-sex categories. Registration closes on 7 March.
The Rendez-Vous de Paris will take place on 9 April. Registration is not yet open, but the organisers have confirmed to us that the competition is going ahead.
Registration is open for the Eurogames in Nijmegen on 27 – 30 July. As the UKEDC is a member of ESSDA, which in turn is a member of EGLSF, all UKEDC members qualify for discounted entry fees for the Eurogames – just select ESSDA as your EGLSF club when completing your registration.
On the social dance side, the following events are coming up in the next couple of months:
- Jacky’s Pop-Up Jukebox – 26 February, 5 March, 2 April at various London venues
- Cactus Club – 7 March, Grafton Hall, North Dulwich
- Bishopsgate Ballroom – 18 March and 18 February, Bishopsgate Institute
