The UKSSDC AGM will be held on Sunday 16th February 2020 from 11:00 to 13:00 at Bishopsgate Institute
We have moved the date of the AGM this year to coincide with the weekend of the Pink Jukebox Trophy and hope to see many of you there so that you can hear the reports for 2019/2020, hear our plans for the future and have your say on important decisions, including the possibility of a rebrand as the UK Equality Dance Council. The AGM will immediately precede the after-party for the PJT.
ELECTIONS
2020 is an election year for the committee, and we strongly welcome new candidates standing for election.
In terms of the commitment, our Committee meets 4 times a year for a 2 hour meeting. You will then have some projects to take on and manage in your spare time in between meetings.
Elections will take place at the AGM on 16th February 2020. (For those unable to attend the AGM, there will be a postal vote or a vote by proxy.)
HOW TO STAND FOR ELECTION
If you are interested in volunteering to join the Committee, you must be nominated by a current UKSSDC member, and this nomination must then be seconded by another UKSSDC member. I have attached a nomination form to this email to be completed by those who wish to stand.
Nominations must be received by midnight on 5th January 2020.
Applicants are to provide a short CV (a paragraph or two) by 2nd February, which will assist the voters with their decision.
AGENDA
An agenda will be sent out closer to the AGM, along with the previous AGM minutes and details on the candidates.
Any member may submit an agenda item to be sent to the secretary (secretary@ukssdc.co.uk) at least 10 days before the AGM.
