We’re thrilled to be heading to Cardiff Eurogames in July 2027 – the first Equality Dancesport championship in the UK for more than a decade!
In the run-up to Cardiff 2027, we are working with our affiliate members to make the most of this opportunity, with the Countdown to Cardiff. The Countdown will bring together events across the UK for Equality dance competitors – including technique workshops and competition opportunities. Helping our dancers train for Cardiff and dance their best at the championship!

Ballroom: Reka Fukeki and Anita Kozma, European Women’s Equality Ballroom Champions, Dance teachers and current competitors.
Latin: Patrick Raja-Helm, former 10-dance champion, and choreographer on Strictly Come Dancing. He is a dance teacher and loves working with Equality dancers and exploring the creativity and possibilities these partnerships bring.
Timetable:
The workshops will take place on the Saturday with options for private lessons on Saturday afternoon/evening and also on Sunday morning with Reka and Anita. Studio hire for practice is also available from Friday evening. Accommodation is available on a limited basis.

December
Saturday 5th – Frankfurt, Germany
Join dancers in Germany for the annual festive equality dance competition in Frankfurt as part of the multisport Christmas Tournament. Registration will open later in the year.
Wednesday 30th – Copenhagen, Denmark
Nordic Open returns to Denmark. On the 30th of December, Niels Henrik and Kasper will host Nordic Open in a new location at Frederiksberg Hallerne in Copenhagen. The day after the competition they hope to see all dancers (competing or not) at the New Years Eve Ball. Registration is open!
January

Saturday: Horfield Parish Church Hall, Wellington Hill, Bristol, BS7 8ST
2.00pm – Join us for an afternoon of fun and dancing. We will learn a featured social dance and also have time to go over some popular line dances.
7.00pm – As part of our Equality Dance weekend we are hosting a party with food, music and dancing. Bring your own drinks. We’ll be fundraising for the Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity providing safe spaces for LGBTQ+ young people facing homelessness or a hostile living environment.

February
Friday 19th-Saturday 20th – Bishopsgate Institute, London
Friday night practice 4-8pm and a competition for all levels from Starters to A class on the Saturday. The 2027 Pink Jukebox Trophy will take place at Bishopsgate Institute on Saturday 20 February 2027, inviting same-sex couples from all over the world to compete in the Great Hall.
March
Saturday 13th – Sankt Augustin, Germany

For the second time TSK Sankt Augustin invites female couples, male couples, trans and non-binary dancers for their spring competition. After the competition will be a dance party.
April
Friday 9th – Sunday 11th – Paris, France
Le Rendez-Vous de Paris will return in 2027! The competition will take place on Saturday 10th April 2027 with workshops and social dancing on Sunday 11th April. There is also a practice on Friday evening if needed.
